ULTIMATE DRIVER LEAGUE SPORTING REGULATIONS

1) GENERAL

1.1 Discussions are allowed with mutual respect. Scolding is not allowed.

1.2 We are going to oblige streaming or recording to make it a little easier for the FIA. Think of Youtube or Twitch. ( In some cases dispensations can be requested )

1.3 The regulations can and may be adapted, supplemented and clarified at any time. These rules will be followed by the FuIA and drivers.

1.4 The rules of Formula 1 apply in the game.

1.5 We ask you to join the lobby 10 minutes before qualy. In championship we work with automatic lobbies.

1.6 In case of drivers not able to join session (error code) the qualy will finish and the host of the league creates an open lobby. The host will set the qualifying grid as it ended and people with error start at the back of the grid. NOTE: You'll have to provide a screenshot of the error. If you can't provide the screenshot the lobby continues, keep in mind that rule 5.4 also is applied

1.7 An Event may be cancelled if fewer than 8 cars are available for it.
1.8 The drivers have till Wednesday 23:59 to report any on-track incident or suspected breach of the rules. Video footage is a must when reporting any on-track incident or suspected breach of the rules.

1.9 Any time penalties given by the game that are not justified will be removed if there is video footage of the incident.

1.10 Use of "Reset to track" will not be allowed (unless the FOM decides otherwise) and the driver will be disqualified from the results.

1.11 When it is not possible to attend a race you have till 2 hours before the start of the race to inform the FOM. There will be a penalty of 2 license points when the deadline has passed.

1.12 Deregistering for a race can be done untill 2 hours before the race starts. Drivers who not deregistered will receive 2 penalty points on their license and a 5 grid penalty for next race.

1.13 You can deregister 5 times without penalties. Every time after that will result in gridpenalties depending on how many times you deregistered.

An example of penalties: You are deregistered 5 times and you do not deregister the 6th time, the grid penalties are added, 5 for not deregistering, and another 5 for deregistering for the 6th time, if a steward descision is not handled off these are added to your total of gridpenalties, on top of that are the penalty points on your license (as explained above) so your grid penalties can increase considerably, even if you are not there.

1.14 League entry is done before Saturdays at 22:00 CET, if your application isn't send by then it will be accepted the following Monday to miimize chances of glitch

2) WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

2.1 The Formula One World Championship driver's title will be awarded to the driver who has scored the highest number of points.

2.2 The title of Formula One World Champion Constructor will be awarded to the competitor which has scored the highest number of points.

2.3 Points for both titles will be awarded at each Event according to the following scale:

1st : 25 points

2nd : 18 points

3rd : 15 points

4th : 12 points

5th : 10 points

6th : 8 points

7th : 6 points

8th : 4 points

9th : 2 points

10th : 1 point

11th-20th: 0 points

In addition to the above, one point will be awarded to the driver who achieved the fastest valid lap time of the race and to the constructor whose car he was driving, provided he was finished in the top ten positions of the final race classification.

2.4 If a race is suspended, and cannot be resumed, no points will be awarded if the leader has completed two laps or less, half points will be awarded if the leader has completed more than two laps but less than 75% of the original race distance and full points will be awarded if the leader has completed 75% or more of the original race distance.

2.5 Points awarded for all the positions of competitors who tie, will be added together and shared equally.

2.6 If two or more constructors or drivers finish the season with the same number of points, the higher place in the Championship shall be awarded to: a) The holder of the greatest number of first places. b) If the number of first places is the same, the holder of the greatest number of second places. c) If the number of second places is the same, the holder of the greatest number of third places and so on until a winner emerges. d) If this procedure fails to produce a result, the FIA will nominate the winner according to such criteria as it thinks fit.

3) GENERAL SAFETY

3.1 Under no circumstances may a driver stop his car on the track without justifiable reason.

3.2 Drivers must observe the provisions of the rules relating to driving behaviour on circuits at all times.

3.3 Drivers must make every reasonable effort to use the track at all times and may not deliberately leave the track without a justifiable reason. Should a car leave the track the driver may re-join, however, this may only be done when it is safe to do so and without gaining any lasting advantage.

3.4 At no time may a car be driven unnecessarily slowly, erratically or in a manner which could be deemed potentially dangerous to other drivers or any other person.

3.5 Under no circumstance a driver is allowed to retire the car on track or leave the session, retiring will be done in the pitlane.

3.6 Drivers in the defensive position may only deviate once from their line if it does not end in a collision. In a defense position, moving in the braking zones is also not allowed.

3.7 Under Safety Car conditions, backmarkers in the top 5 are requested to pass the SC on the straight after the entire field has been pushed together, this in order to avoid any questionable actions. Backmarkers approaching the SC will see a green light on top of the SC, this will be only the case when you are directly behind the SC. Penalties in result of of this action will be removed by the FOM in final results. Outside the top 5, overtaking the SC as a backmarker is a risk that the driver needs to asses for himself. This because the FIA does not know wheter black flags are being waved for multiple penalties.

4) QUALIFYING

4.1 Any driver whose car stops on the circuit during the qualifying session will be handed a license penalty.

4.2 Any driver who retires the car on track and causes a crash will be getting a qualifying ban for the next race the driver attends.

5) STARTING PROCEDURE

5.1 When the green lights are illuminated, all cars on the grid should begin the formation lap with the pole position driver leading.

5.2 During the formation lap practice starts are forbidden and the formation must be kept as tight as possible.

5.3 Overtaking during the formation lap is only permitted if a car is delayed and cars behind cannot avoid passing it without unduly delaying the remainder of the field.

5.4 All drivers within the top 10 will start on the tyre they qualified on, drivers who start on the wrong tyres will be DSQ after the race (on case the lobby freezes and miltiplayer lobby has to be started)

6) THE RACE

6.1 A Driver may report any on-track incident or suspected breach of these Sporting Regulations to the stewards. After review it shall be at the discretion of the stewards to decide whether or not to proceed with an investigation.
